Sample Our Chefs at St. George Day 2019
St. George/Earth Day was Saturday, April 28, 2019, at Tompkinsville Park, Bay Street and Victory Boulevard, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Between noon and 1:30, our SINFI chefs and Healthy Retail stores offered free samples of their international cuisine.
Here are the stores and chefs donating food:
- Big Time Produce: Fruit
- Leo's Deli: Healthy wraps
- Shop and Eat Halal: Hummus and pita bread
- Lanka Grocery: Sri Lankan snacks, fruit
- Shoprite: Healthy wraps
- Grace Kelli Cupcakes: Well, cupcakes! Some gluten-free
- Dominican Food Restaurant: Chicken and yellow rice
- M&K Spanish Restaurant: Spanish food
Participants got to survey the donations by putting colored dots on sheets (they could have also scanned the QR codes and voted that way, but no one did):
